The Ten Kate Junior Team is delighted to announce that Bastien Chesaux will race alongside Michael van der Mark next Superstock 600 European Championship season. The Swiss youngster has signed a three year contract with the Ten Kate Racing Team. In 2012, Chesaux will take part in the Superstock 600 European Championship on a Honda CBR600RR, prepared by Ten Kate Racing Products. Chesaux already has a lot of experience in World Supersport, 125cc Grand Prix and 250cc Grand Prix. With eleven world championship points under his belt, it is clear that the Swiss is a welcome addition to the Ten Kate Junior Team.

Bastien Chesaux (STK600): I’m very happy! Last season was hard but I’m convinced that next year things will get much better. Ten Kate is without any doubt one of the top teams in the paddock. To be part of this team makes me proud and gives me a great opportunity because I've never been in a situation like this before. I have signed a three year contract, but we will work step by step. Therefore I can’t wait for the first test in March on a Spanish track. I know my new team-mate very well because Michael and I have had some great battles and hard races over the years in the International German Championship 125cc so the makes is very special.”

Ten Kate Junior Team owner Ferry Schoenmakers: “We are very happy that Bastien Chesaux will side Michael van der Mark next year. Bastien has shown a lot of maturity in his career and were are looking forward to work with him together. Last year, he was very unlucky but he is only twenty years old. Moreover, Bastien has a lot of experience which is very important in the Superstock 600 European Championship. We'll bring more news about Michael van der Mark's contract extension and about our new Superstock 1000 FIM Cup rider shortly after the holiday season.”
