Kroon-Oil B.V., the parent company of Putoline Oil, joins 'UNICEF Business Buddies', a concept that connects companies with the work of UNICEF.

“We are very happy with Kroon-Oil B.V.'s contribution,” said Joliene Heimgartner of UNICEF The Netherlands. “Without help, UNICEF cannot do nearly as much work. With this support we can ensure that even more children in the Ivory Coast can go to school.”
By supporting the 'Plastic Bricks' project, we are not only stimulating education in Ivory Coast, but also working towards a better environment. Ivory Coast has a huge waste problem. The capital, Abidjan, produces 288,000 kilos of plastic waste every day. UNICEF has some of this recycled into plastic building blocks, which are used to build classrooms. At the moment 1.6 million children in Côte d'Ivoire do not attend school. By donating a whole classroom we can give some of these children the opportunity to get an education.
By joining UNICEF's 'Plastic Bricks project' we are literally contributing to solving the plastic waste problem while also supporting the future of children.
