Florian gets once again to the podium in Brno

14-07-2010

After two day of satisfactory practices on Friday and Saturday, TEN KATE JUNIOR TEAM’s riders confirm once again their place on the grid, putting the two Honda CBR RR on the front row.

Despite of this, the satisfaction of getting to the podium comes unluckily only for Forian Marino in Superstock 600. Maxime Berger in Stock1000, who started with perfect setting conditions, crashes during the second lap without consequences for him but due to this crash he doesn’t get to the podium and consequently looses the second position in the standings.

Maxime Berger #21, Superstock 1000:

" I can say now that I like this track just as much as it brings me bad luck. After last year’s out in the last lap I went out again this year on lap two. I feel very sorry, I had been able to reach a very good feeling on the bike from the beginning of the weekend and winning really was my goal. Due to this crash I’m now on third place in the standings but there are only 7 points from the second place and I will struggle to get back to where I was.”

Florian Marino #21, Superstock 600:

“the second place today is a very positive result because my first rival, who won the race, had a very competitive pace. There are still 30 points from the top placement in the standings and 3 rounds to go yet to try to get to the top. I intend to do it”.

Domenico Francese, Team manager:

“The Brno round has been very gratifying as for the work we did in the practices. I felt with pride and satisfaction that the whole Team has been struggling to find the right setting for a very technical and demanding track due to the limited grip.
As for Maxime, his will to win and maybe to show heatedly what his competitive features are, failed him on lap one leading him out. Florian hasn’t managed to face the two fast laps set by his rival at the half of the race. We also have to mention that our bikes have been disadvantaged by the torrid heat of these last days in Brno.”
