Anvil Hire TAG Racing Out For Revenge At Oulton Park

30-04-2015

Round three of the MCE British Superbike Championship heads to Cheshire, and the picturesque Oulton Park circuit for a Bank Holiday thriller.

After a challenging weekend last time out at Brands Hatch, the Anvil Hire TAG Racing Team are looking to improve their fortunes with a strong showing around the 2.6 mile circuit.

Oulton Park is a favourite circuit with the riders, teams and fans and with the fast and flowing nature of the track, we can expect fireworks on Bank Holiday Monday in both MCE British Superbike races.

The team missed the official BSB test at Oulton Park last week, but Richard Cooper did attend on his practice bike, with all three racing superbikes being worked on at the team headquarters ahead of the vital third round of the Championship.

Looking for more points this weekend, Richard Cooper commented: “I’m really looking forward to Oulton Park. I feel that our bike should be strong around there as it’s not all about straight-line speed."

“It’s more about controlling the bike over the crests and undulations on the track. Last years results were good so hopefully we can repeat that this year.”

A determined Filip Backlund added: “I’m really excited for this weekend at Oulton Park. Last time out we had some really bad luck on our side of the garage with technical problems ahead of race one. So I now feel hungry for revenge at Oulton Park."

“We are working hard to get the right results, to show we are going in the right direction.”

Ahead of the weekend Shaun Winfield said: “I’m really looking forward to Oulton Park, it’s one of my preferred tracks. We made some good progress at the last round so we are looking to carry that forward and improve on it this weekend.”

Team manager Steve Randle concluded: “I’m really excited ahead of this weekend, we’ve worked hard in the break between races at the workshop, so we’re confident that all three riders can achieve some great results.”
